The health and safety of our class participants is a top priority. With the risk of COVID-19 still present, Balanced Female Fitness (BFF) may need to update and modify our safety protocols to protect the health and safety of our class participants, which includes clients and instructors. This policy details the health and safety protocols for our in-person classes. Class participants will be asked to adhere to these protocols in order to participate in the class.

Our policies related to COVID-19 are subject to change based on the evolving nature of the pandemic and in accordance with mandates put in place by health authorities and/or our partners - including the City of Falls Church, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), the Commonwealth of Virginia, and The Falls Church Episcopal and Bethlehem Lutheran (locations of our indoor classes). To ensure the most updated information, you can refer to our Covid Policy on our website.

Vaccination Requirement
For indoor, in-person classes, all class participants must be classified as “fully vaccinated” per the CDC guidelines and have had their second shot or booster within the past six months in order to attend class. BFF instructors will check proof of vaccination upon arrival by requiring one of the following: vaccine card, digital copy of vaccine card, printed copy of vaccine card, or digital app displaying vaccination status. Unvaccinated individuals or those who do not have proof of vaccination will not be allowed to participate in an indoor, in-person class. BFF will not require proof of vaccination for outdoor, in-person classes; however, class participants are asked to follow the health checks and social distancing as outlined below. Mask wearing will not be required in any of our classes.

Health Checks Prior to Arrival

For all in-person classes, indoors and outdoors, class participants are asked to do their own health check prior to attending class. Women are asked not to join in-person if they are currently experiencing or have recently experienced any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other potential symptoms of COVID-19. Women should also not attend in person if they, or any member of their household, have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus and/or is currently quarantining because of a close contact with someone infected with COVID-19. Current quarantine guidelines may be found here.

Social Distancing During Class

Per the VDH recommendation for businesses, class participants are asked to maintain a distance of six feet from other class participants. Cones will be set up during class to designate social distancing.

Waiver of Liability

Given the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, these health and safety policies implemented by BFF cannot eliminate the risk that you are exposed to, contract, or spread COVID-19 while attending class. By registering for class, each participant releases and forever discharges and holds harmless Balanced Female Fitness, Inc., its owners and contractors, from any and all liability, claims, and demands which the attendee or any of its heirs, assigns, next of kin or legal representatives may have which arise from the exposure, transmission, or spread of COVID-19 as a result of participation in class.
